    TPU, thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, is a block copolymer composed of diisocyanate, chain extender, and polyol. The soft segment composed of polyol shows flexibility and toughness, while the diisocyanate, as the hard segment, gives the material hardness and rigidity, and the hard segment serves as a physical cross-linking point after crystallization, making TPU show high elasticity. Therefore, TPU has significant advantages such as high tensile strength, large elongation, and low long-term compression permanent deformation.

Compared with traditional shoe materials, ETPU (also called Expanded Thermoplastic Polyurethane and foamed TPU) is an environmentally friendly material with ultra-high elasticity, ultra-light density, high wear resistance and bending resistance. It is suitable for use in sports shoe soles and insoles, because ETPU can absorb the impact of the ground on the soles of the feet, effectively protecting our knee joints and heels, making every step light and elastic.

In Terms of ETPU Midsole Technology

ETPU midsole uses physical foaming. Compared with chemical foaming of EVA, it has no smell and is environmentally friendly and recyclable. It is popcorn-shaped after molding and has excellent resilience and deformation recovery, wear resistance, and resistance to wear. The wet slip performance far exceeds that of traditional EVA materials. The rebound value of ETPU foam can reach 60%, which is significantly higher than EVA. Equivalent to when the shoe rebounds after landing, the sole rebounds harder when it hits the ground, effectively reducing muscle fatigue and muscle jitter, allowing you to run farther with full power~
