This hub is the durable TPR OEM / export commercial page. It consolidates thin TPR/thermoplastic category shells and deep-links the factory TPR news post — it does not rewrite the full OEM gate playbook, multi-material selector, or QC proof page. Every number is scenario-tagged to a live source. GRS / certificate wording is cautious (see §7). No invented volumes, rankings, MOQs, densities, or cert IDs.
Injection TPR (thermoplastic rubber) outsoles are a core export path for fashion, leather, casual, and many sneaker programs into EU and North America. Buyers usually need three answers in one place: which TPR construction fits the shoe, what compliance path to request, and what to send for a quote or sample.
| Role | Owns | Ask early |
|---|---|---|
| Brand owner / brand sourcing | Market (EU/NA), finishing look, color standards, exclusivity vs stock, compliance docs ask | “Can we request current GRS scope + TC for this order?” |
| Factory / OEM sourcing | Density type, injection fit, hardness, size run, MOQ per color, schedule | “Compact, expanded, or double-density — and which finishing?” |
This page does not replace the full sketch→mass OEM Sole Development Playbook. Full gates G0–G8, mold ownership, and route A/B/C live there: OEM Sole Development Playbook.
Primary conversion: choose TPR type → confirm export compliance ask → send RFQ / sample checklist → contact.
TPR = thermoplastic rubber outsole compounds processed by injection molding. On Huadong’s material-compare essay, TPR is framed as lightweight, flexible, soft/elastic, and moldable into patterned bottoms — “not as tough as rubber, but still decent” for many commercial styles.
Common use framing on that compare page: casual sneakers, kids’ shoes, affordable athletic. Full multi-material matrix (PU / RB / EVA / ETPU / PEBA, etc.) remains a separate selector idea — this hub owns TPR depth only.

Use the published TPR factory article framing — do not invent new use cases.
| Prefer TPR when… | Prefer rubber when… |
|---|---|
| Weight, coloring, molding ease, and fashion/leather finishing (paint / polish / welt match) matter | Extreme heavy-duty industrial footwear — that article states pure rubber is still preferred |
| Fashion, leather, casual, and sneaker programs in the article’s commercial framing | You need maximum toughness / outdoor grip trade-offs called out on the material-compare FAQ |
Article wording (marketing framing, not a lab metric): TPR covers “90% of fashion, leather, casual and sneaker applications” on that FAQ — treat as page language, not a measured share of the market.
Brand owner: If retail needs a rubber-like handfeel with lighter weight and export finishing, start with TPR type chooser (§5).
Factory engineer: If the construction is injection TPR and bonding/roughing handoff is clear, lock density + hardness before tooling talk.

Densities and use cases quoted from the TPR factory article only.
| Type | Density / structure (as published) | Typical shoe styles (as published) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Compact TPR | Specific density 1.0–1.1 g/cm³ | Slim dress & leather / fashion flats | High density, stable structure, strong flex resistance, precise molding, clean lines, high-end surface finishing |
| Expanded / lightweight TPR | Specific gravity as low as 0.5–0.6 g/cm³ | Chunkier platforms, boots, casual sneakers | Reduces weight vs thick solid TPR; cushion & anti-slip framing on that page |
| Double-density TPR | Compact outsole layer + expanded midsole layer; unlimited color matching supported (as stated) | Casual / sneakers / daily sports footwear | Dual-color & dual-material chooser for factories |
Performance framing on that page (general product language): lightweight, abrasion, anti-slip, flexibility, easy coloring & molding. Formula-upgrade narrative (“reduce plastic-like feel; boost rubber-like handfeel”) is roadmap language, not a finished SKU promise.
Brand owner callout: Match silhouette (slim vs chunky) to compact vs expanded before locking brand colors.
Factory callout: For dual-density, specify which layer is compact vs expanded and color per layer.

| Claim | Source | Hub treatment |
|---|---|---|
| “Our TPR soles are GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified… Ideal for EU and American export orders.” | TPR factory article | Cite as that page’s claim; do not add cert numbers on this hub |

| Waste reintroduction “up to 100% of the raw material” into thermoplastic soles | Thermoplastic page | Recyclability framing — do not equate to finished GRS % without a Transaction Certificate (TC) |
| GRS = recycled content verification + social/environmental/chemical practices + supply-chain traceability | GRS education article | Industry education — link, don’t re-essay |
| EU sustainability regulations stats | EU regs article | Industry framing only — not Huadong audit results |
Huadong’s published TPR/thermoplastic pages describe a GRS program for recycled TPR (and related) compounds. A GRS scope certificate alone does not prove that a specific shipment is GRS; buyers typically need a current scope certificate plus a Transaction Certificate (TC) per order. For EU/NA export RFQs, request the current GRS scope certificate and order TC from sales — do not treat any older PDF linked on the site as live proof.
ISO 9001:2015 appears as a text claim on manufacturing / OEM pages — request the certificate from sales if your program requires it.

TPR here means thermoplastic rubber outsole compounds in Huadong’s injection TPR program. TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) appears on site in a broader design-uses article (midsole / vamp / welt / shank contexts) — adjacent family language, not the same buy as a TPR outsole SKU.
Do not merge product lines. For TPE design uses, see: Using thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) in your new shoe design. Other injected thermoplastics (TPU, foam PVC) are listed on the thermoplastic manufacturer page — one-line pointer only on this hub.
Category / gallery shells (SKU indexes — not rewritten here):
Deep supporting article (not the long-term commercial parent): Why Shoe Factories Choose Huadong TPR Soles.
TPR is a thermoplastic rubber outsole compound for injection molding — generally lighter and easier to color/mold fancy patterns than traditional rubber, with abrasion and slip framed as comparable to high-quality rubber on the TPR article. For extreme heavy-duty industrial footwear, that article still prefers pure rubber.
When the program is fashion, leather, casual, or sneaker-oriented, needs injection processability and finishing (paint/polish/welt), and the buyer will request the relevant chemical / sustainability documents for the destination market. Use §5 to pick compact vs expanded vs double-density.
Compact (1.0–1.1 g/cm³): slim dress/leather/fashion flats. Expanded (as low as 0.5–0.6 g/cm³): platforms, boots, casual sneakers. Double-density: compact outsole + expanded midsole for casual/sneakers/daily sports, with color matching as stated on the TPR article.
Yes — thermoplastic manufacturer page states work with European and USA brands on thermoplastic soles since 2000, with in-house prilling and TPR/TPU/foam PVC injection. The TPR article adds vertical integration and in-house design/mold engineering.
Huadong runs a GRS (Global Recycled Standard) program for recycled TPR compounds, and our TPR pages state that designs and formulas are tested to SATRA, ISO and GB methods (slip, flex, low-temperature, abrasion, color fastness) with chemical restriction tests for REACH and RoHS. Before you rely on any recycled-content claim, ask our sales team for the current GRS scope certificate and a Transaction Certificate (TC) for your order, plus any lab reports your market requires. See §7.
Existing designs: MOQ 500 pairs/color (TPR FAQ). Custom molds/colors: MOQ based on size and structure; customized mould ~15 days; mass 15–25 days (quantity-dependent). Site FAQ: general production 10–20 days; air ~7 / sea 10–30 days.
Density type, style refs, size run, color, hardness, finishing (paint/polish/welt), GRS/docs ask, destination market, and sample quantity — see §9. Full OEM file set → Playbook G0.
Related thermoplastic-elastomer language on the site, but different commercial pages. This hub is for TPR outsoles; TPE design uses are covered in a separate article — don’t merge SKUs (§11).
Site FAQ: existing models can customize logo, color, hardness. Some logo applications may need a small logo tool or setup fee (see CKD/FAQ language on related pages). New geometry → new mould path.
TPR article: more than 200 new sole designs yearly. Do not conflate with company-wide design counts on other pages without marketing confirm.
Yes — double-density TPR with compact outsole + expanded midsole; unlimited color matching supported as stated on the TPR article. Specify layer map and colors in the RFQ.
